Work-life balance is hard to define, mostly because it varies over time. The right balance for you today might not be right for you tomorrow. It’s different when you’re single, married, have kids, and it depends on where you are on your career path.
The best work-life balance depends only on you and your priorities.

Say hello to work-life balance blog

True work-life balance can seem like an impossible feat.
Technology makes us accessible around the clock, and fear of losing the job makes us work harder and pull out long hours.
Nonetheless, experts agree: the compounding stress from the never-ending workday is damaging and can hurt relationships, health, and overall happiness.

So the main reason for the disturbed work-life balance is working overtime. Depending on where you’re at in your life, working overtime might sit well with you, but it also might not.

One of the core values of BrightMarbles is cultivating a stress-free environment for both of our colleagues and our clients, and this is one of the ways we practice it – we stick to our working hours.
Clients might request from our colleagues to work overtime, but the only ones that can accept or reject this request are our colleagues, not the management, not HR, but the actual people who would do the work.
Nonetheless, every hour spent working overtime at BrightMarbles is compensated as per law, 26% more than a regular working hour.

With a greater sense of control and ownership, people tend to have better relationships with management and are able to leave work issues at work and home issues at home. Good work-life balance leads to higher motivation, and less stress at work, and all-in-all, that’s our end goal.
